By Design: The CorelDRAW newsletter
October 2012 In this issue

Welcome to the October 2012 edition of the By Design newsletter!

It's been quite a summer for all of us here on the CorelDRAW team. Not only did we complete the launch of our remaining languages of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 (Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese), but we also introduced new ways to experience CorelDRAW, either by subscription or with our new CorelDRAW Membership. This marks the first time that we are now offering more of an experience to our loyal users beyond what's included "in the box". There have also been some great new learning materials launched to support X6, as well as some news on the mobile application front.

We'd love to know what you'd like to see in future issues of By Design. As always, please send your thoughts and comments to us via email at, in the community, or on Facebook or Twitter.

I hope you enjoy this issue of By Design!

CorelDRAW Membership

In August, we announced our exciting new CorelDRAW membership program! This will allow our users to get so much more out of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6. Offered as a complimentary Standard Membership or a Premium Membership, the new program offers access to cloud-based digital content, product updates, new product features and more. And coming soon, we'll have another product update that will further enhance the experience for our Premium members.

We encourage everyone to sign up for the free Standard Membership. It's fast, easy and did we mention free? Start by downloading our X6.1 update and you will be prompted from within the application to do the rest. Find out more about CorelDRAW Membership!

CorelDRAW Subscription

A new way to experience CorelDRAW!
We recognize that the cost of acquiring a professional graphics suite can be a challenge for some. This is why we've recently introduced a new way to utilize CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6. You now have the opportunity to subscribe to the product, either on a monthly or annual basis. This will minimize the initial investment required for those who otherwise would have to purchase the full version. As a bonus, subscribers also get all the additional benefits of Premium Membership, the top tier of our new CorelDRAW Membership program. Find out more about our subscription plans!

Windows 8

As we always do, we aim to be one of the first software developers to support the new releases of Microsoft® Windows ™. CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 is certainly no exception, as we've already completed the certification process for Windows 8, which is releasing this month from Microsoft. You'll start to see the Windows 8 logo on the box in stores and if you already have X6, downloading the X6.1 update will ensure that you are certified.

Corel Designs

We already have a free mobile application on the Windows Store, called Corel Designs! This application will allow you to search through the amazing artwork on the community galleries on, as well as on some third party websites like Flickr®, istockphoto® and Fotolia®. This will allow you to look for sources of creativity while on the go! In future releases, we plan to more tightly integrate Corel Designs with CorelDRAW® and Corel® CONNECT™, making it even easier to get your projects done!
